Shows that Need to Be Back as ReRuns

The early 2000's was a great time. Hip Hop was doing great, black shows were doing amazing , and it seemed the world was doing alright even though it had just loss the Princess of R&B, singer Aaliyah and Lisa "Left-Eye" Lopes of TLC. The early 2000's had great tv shows. On Instagram there are profile pages honoring hilarious and great inspirng late 90's/early 00's shows. These shows need better recognition and reruns because these shows made my life and inspired me. Make sure you watch these shows.
1) One on One

One on One was one of the hottest tv show. It lasted from 2001 -2006. One on One was about a father who becomes a full time dad (portrayed by Flex Alexander) when his ex-wife moves away and he decides to take in his daughter (portrayed by Kyla Pratt). The show mostly focused on Flex, the father, relationship with his teenage daughter Breanna and Breanna's life as a teenager dealing with boys and friendship. Season 5 has a different plot. In season 5 it is about Breanna going into adulthood and living college life. Main Stars: Flex Alexander, Kyla Pratt, Robert Ri'Chard, Sicily Sewell, Kelly Perine, and Ray J.
2) Half & Half

The story of my life. Half & Half was a great show. It lasted from 2002-2006. Half & Half was about half-sisters Mona and DeeDee who were in their twenties. Mona was the humble older sister born to Phyllis and Charles. Mona didn't have much of a relationship with her father or her sister when she was younger, which causes her to be a little hostile towards them. DeeDee is the younger sister who grew up spoiled and materialistic. She was born to Big DeeDee and Charles. She tries hard to get her older sister approval. The show dwelt with them developing a relationship, learning to appreciate each other, and dealing with their crazy mothers.
Main Stars: Rachel True, Essence Atkins, Telma Hopkins, Valerie Pettiford, and Chico Benymon.
3) Girlfriends

If you loved Living Single in the 90's you would love Girlfriends in the early 2000's. It lasted from 2000-2008. The show centered around four female best friends (Joan, Maya, Lynn, and Toni) until season 6 when Toni leaves. Each woman is very different. Joan is the responsible mother figure of the group, Maya is the ghetto girl who worked as Joan's assistant, Lynn is the care free vegan friend who lived off of Joan after meeting her and Toni in college, and Toni is the bougie and uptight friend who Joan known since childhood. The show talked about love, friendship, and it had humorous plots. The show went on to make a successful spin-off show called The Game

4) All of Us

All of Us is about a blended family. The show lasted from 2003-2007 Robert (portrayed by Duane Martin) was once married to the Neesee (portrayed by LisaRaye McCoy) but they went through a terrible divorce. They both have a son named Robert Jr (aka Bobby). Robert falls for his sons teacher Tia (portrayed by Elise Neal). The family learn to get along for the sake of Bobby and develop nice friendships. Robert was engaged to the beautiful Tia but in the end he and Neesee realized they were meant to be.

5) Eve

"Evie Eve" was one funny show starring female rapper Eve. The show lasted from 2003-2006. Eve was about six friends: strong minded Shelly, Ditsy but lovable Rita , married and wise Janie , Shelly's on-and-off again boyfriend J.T., the charming British hunk Donovan, and the hilarious Nick. The characters balance between love and work, while also trying to discover themselves.
Main Stars: Eve, Ali Landry, Natalie Desselle-Reid, Jason George, Sean Maguire, and Brian Hooks
6) Cuts

The short-lived but hilarious spin-off of One on One, Cuts. The show lasted from 2005-2006. Cuts was One on One spinoff focused on Flex's little brother Kevin (Marques Houston) after he takes over the family barbershop with the help of spoiled rich girl Tiffany Sherwood. The two come from different backgrounds which leads to some hilarious fun.

7) The Proud Family

The best cartoon in the world wuth the best theme song (sung by Solange Knowles ft. Destiny's Child). The Proud Family focused on the life of the "Proud Family". The show lasted 2001-2005. The characters are: Penny Proud is the 14 year old daughter who tries to deal with school, boys, and her crazy over protective father, Oscar Proud is Penny's overprotective father who sells the horrible Proud Snacks, her mother Trudy Proud who has a strong but loving personality, her younger twins siblings BeBe and CeCe, and her crazy and hilarious grandmother Suga Mama.

8) The Parkers

Spin-off of the 90's show Moesha, follows the life of Kim Parker (one of Moesha's friend) who deals with life after high school and dealing with the faact that she'll be going to college with her crazy but strict mother Nikki. The show lasted from 1999-2004. This is one hilarious mother-daughter show.
Main Cast: Countess Vaughn, Mo'Nique, Jenna von Oy, Ken Lawson, Dorien Wilson, and Yvette Wilson (R.I.P.)
9) My Wife and Kids

Lasting from 2001-2005, My Wife and Kids follow the life of the Kyle Family, with Michael Kyle Sr. (porrtrayed by Damon Wayans) as the hilarious patriarch and Janet "Jay" Kyle (portrayed by Tisha Campbell) as the strict but also equally hilarious matriarch. This is one the best family show.

10) The Steve Harvey Show

Even though it started in the 90's it still count. Lasting from 1996-2002. The show starred Steve Harvey as former funk legend turned music teacher Steve Hightower who hilariously changes the dynamic of the school. Everyone loves Steve at the school even though he and Regina have a name-calling relationship (because they have feelings for each other). He also shares a mentor/father like relationship with his students the charming and popular Romeo and the dimwitted but loving Bullethead.
