Since March is the Month of Women's History, honoring all that women have contributed. Here are 16 songs to listen to that help empower women.
1) Wings by Little Mix
Wings is a song about a girl who don't need a boy she can do her own thing because her mama said she can do it. Basically you your own person, do you boo because you have the wings.
Memorable lyric: "Mama told me not to wast my life, she said spread your wings my little butterfly. Don't let what they say keep you up at not and if they give you shh then go and walk on by".
2) Little Me by Little Mix
It's a song about what would you tell your younger self. How will you encourage yourself and tell yourself you are the best, you are beautiful, that you are one of a kind. A lot of young girls need this encouragement right here.
Memorable Lyric: "I'd tell her to speak up, tell her to shout out Talk a bit louder, be a bit prouder Tell her she's beautiful, wonderful Everything she doesn't see. 3) Salute by Little Mix
This song is a woman empowerment song. The song is about women being warriors, they can do anything they set their mind to, so salute to the women.
Memorable Lyric: "Ladies all across the world Listen up, we're looking for recruits If you with me, lemme see your hands Stand up and salute. Get your killer heels, sneakers, pumps or lace up your boots. Representing all the women, salute, salute"
4) Boss by Fifth Harmony
We are the Boss. As women we always have that intelligent and brave power inside of us, so all we need to do is let men know that.
Memorable Lyric: "Boss Michelle Obama Purse so heavy gettin' Oprah dollas "
5) Diva by Beyonce
A Woman can hustle just as well as men. Women know how to strive for what they want and Beyonce song really allows people to know.
Memorable lyric: "A Diva is a female version of a hustler"
6) Flawless by Beyonce
This is one of does lit songs you can look in the mirror and say to yourself "I'm flawless". It's one of the things were you just except who you are.
Memorable Lyric: Wake up, Flawless!"
7) Pretty Girl Rock by Keri Hislon
This song is about knowing that you are pretty know matter how you look or what your skin tone or race is. So just love you.
Memorable Lyric: "Know do the pretty girl rock"
8) Respect by Aretha Franklin
Ms. Franklin had one of the biggest song that is still being played today. It is about a man showing her some respect. Today we as women need to make sure we let men know we demand respect. The Me Too movement and Times Up been letting men, rich or poor know that we as women have a voice that needs to be heard.

9) Girl by Destiny's Child
This song is about your homegirls lifting each other up when one of you are hurt or in pain. We as women need to stop talking down on other womens and help lift each other up and show that we are standing together. It doesn't matter the race or religion we should be one.

10) Independent by Destiny's Child
The song was put in the movie Charlie's Angel which is about three women working as spies. They didn't need a man to help stop the bad guys. We are independent baby. Some women need to learn they can handle stuff without a man. I've seen single mothers work a whole lot to help take care of their kids. I've seen single mothers get their kids through high school and even through college. Women are very strong.

11) I'm Every Woman by Chaka Khan and Whitney Houston
Basically, like I said before a woman can do anything she sets her mind to, and this song spoke the truth.

12) Man by Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, Brittany O'Grady (Cast of Fox's STAR)
Just like Independent Woman, this song is saying women you don't need know man. You can have one to be with but you can do all the other stuff because you don't need a man

13) You Don't Know Me by Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, Brittany O'Grady (Cast of Fox's STAR)
The song is about how guys who think they are fly womanizer think they really know you but that's not the truth because we have many layers

14) Little Girl by Mary Mary
This a sweet song similar to Little Me about telling a girl that she is beautiful.
Memorable Lyric: "Little girl, little girl Wonder are you listening Little girl, little girl Struggling with your confidence Little girl, little girl God made you so beautiful Little girl, little girl I just thought that you should know"
15) I am Not my Hair by India.Arie
We are not our hair, we are not our skin ...We are ourselves. This is a strong song with a good meaning
Memorable Lyric: "Hey (hey) I am not my hair I am not this skin I am not your expectations, no (hey) I am not my hair I am not this skin I am the soul that lives within"
16) Run The World (Girls) by Beyonce
This is one of the biggest girl anthem. Like James Brown sauid in his song "it'll be nothing without a woman or a girl". We as women and girls got to see ourselves as Sheroes "girl heroes". Beyonce is a singer big on girl power so when she made this song, it was phenonmenal.
